On April 10, 2014 Keisha Brown gained her wings and was welcomed into heaven. When Keisha was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 29, 2007 she had many thoughts running through her mind. Her biggest fear was what was going to happen to her 1 year-old daughter, Angel. This is what led Keisha to create the Angel Wings Fund, named after her daughter. The Keisha Y. Brown Angel Wings Fund, a non- profit 501(c)(3) is dedicated to making a difference for an individual who is impacted by cancer. Angel Wings Fund provides financial scholarships, education awareness and needed services to those with cancer or directly affected by cancer.
So on this day, instead of being sad that Keisha is no longer here, I challenge us to give in her name to this organization that she started over 10 years ago. To date, we have supported students & families in the Isabella/Gratiot counties through our scholarships at Sacred Heart Academy, Central Michigan University and the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation.
Your donation today will help us "Help Others Soar"!
